Pursuit of Perfection Leadership Award Nominee Week #13 – Josh Barlow from the Maggie L. Walker Governor’s School!

Congratulations to Josh Barlow from the Maggie L. Walker Governor’s School, our week 13 nominee for the Lexus of Richmond Pursuit of Perfection Leadership Award!

With a 4.5 GPA, Josh is an accomplished scholar as a National Merit Semifinalist, a member of the National Honor Society as well as the Math, English and German National Honor Societies, an AP Scholar with Distinction and a National Spanish Exam medalist. He is also a member of several school clubs, including the Key Club and German Club, a member of Walker Model Congress, and he took a mentorship with Dr. Cheatham at the VCU Sports Medicine Clinic. A well-rounded athlete, Josh has played multiple sports during his high school career, including volleyball, soccer, basketball and swimming. Among other accomplishments, he has excelled in volleyball and soccer in particular: as team captain and team MVP, 1st Team All-Conference, 1st Team All-Region and 2nd Team All-State for his school’s volleyball team, team captain for the Richmond Volleyball Club, and captain of his JV soccer team as well as his Richmond Kickers soccer team in the 9th and 10th grades. Josh has served his community as a Spanish teacher at St. Andrew’s School, a volunteer for Stop Hunger Now, an MFuge Mission Trip participant, a Woodlake UMC Vacation Bible School teacher and a Woodlake UMC Nursery worker. Although he is unsure of which university he will be attending, Josh is interested in going into Sports Medicine.

Pursuit of Perfection Leadership Award Nominee Week #12 – Krishna Ravindra from Henrico High School!

Congratulations Krishna Ravindra from Henrico High School, our week 12 nominee for the Lexus of Richmond Pursuit of Perfection Leadership Award!

With a GPA of 5.16, Krishna has achieved a great deal in the classroom, as an all-A honor roll student throughout his high school career, as a member of the National Honor Society as well as the National Science, Math, Spanish and History Honor Societies, president of the Future Health Professionals Club, a member of the Model United Nations Club, and a member of the Spirit Club. Krishna has been a dedicated soccer player from a very young age. He was a member of the Kicker’s Strikers Elite Travel Team by age 8, and continued on to be the 2nd place winner in the Jefferson Cup Tournament, 1st place winner in the Bethesda Adidas Tournament, captain of the Henrico H.S. Men’s Varsity Team, and was Second Team All-District, and Capital District All-Academic Team. A well-rounded athlete, he also earned his black belt in Tae Kwon Do by the time he was in the 9th grade. Krishna is very active in the community, having volunteered for the Bon Secours Memorial Regional Medical Center, Students for Students, Habitat Restore, Community Kitchen, Young Einstein’s Tutoring Program, and a Courts for Kids Costa Rica service trip, along with having coordinated a soccer tournament fundraiser for the Children’s Hospital of Richmond.

Congratulations to Eliza Bellamy from Maggie L. Walker Governor’s School, our week 11 nominee for the Lexus of Richmond Pursuit of Perfection Leadership Award!

With a GPA of 4.43, Eliza is the recipient of a number of accolades for her academic achievements, having been inducted into the National Honor Society, the National Math Honor Society, the National French Honor Society, the Thomas Jefferson History National Honor Society, and having been recognized as an AP Scholar with Honors. She was also a medalist on the National French and Spanish Exams, is a member of the Model Congress, Key Club, RAMPS Club and is president of the Green Machine (Pep) Club. Eliza is an avid field hockey player, for which she’s earned recognition as 1st Team All-Conference, 1st Team All-Region, RTD 1st Team All-Metro, Conference 20 Player of the Year in 2013, and as captain of her varsity team in 2014. A well-rounded athlete, she is also a member of her school’s varsity soccer team which made it to the Region 2a State Finals Game in 2014, and was a JV Basketball team member. Eliza has dedicated her free time to helping out in the community through a variety of programs, including volunteering her time at Newtowne tutoring, Carver Elementary, and Lakewood Manor Nursing Home, as well as serving as a Maggie Walker Student Ambassador, and fundraising for various charitable organizations.

Pursuit of Perfection Leadership Award Nominee Week #10 – Logan Ende from St. Christopher’s School!

Congratulations to Logan Ende from St. Christopher’s School, our week 10 nominee for the Lexus of Richmond Pursuit of Perfection Leadership Award!

With a GPA of 4.5 and in the top 5% of his class, Logan is an accomplished student, having been awarded the Dartmouth Book Award, AP Scholar with Distinction, and as a three-time silver medalist on the National Spanish Exam. He has earned High Honors every semester, has been a member of the Honor Council for four years (serving as the secretary this year, and has been a member of his school’s Chamber Orchestra playing violin since the 2nd grade. Logan is active on the field as a 4-year varsity soccer player and 2-year captain. He led his team to win the VISSA Division I State Championship title and the Prep League Championship title with a 23-1-1 record. In 2014 he was All-State (1st team) and a Player of the Year nomine, as well as All-Prep and Prep League Player of the Year. He has also been awarded 2014 Eastern Mennonite Classic MVP, 2014 Christchurch Tournament MVP and 2013 Christchurch Tournament All-Tournament team. Logan is active in the community, having volunteered his time in several programs including Project Homes, Feedmore, Christ and Grace Church Youth Groups and on a mission trip to Costa Rica.

With a GPA of 4.717, Keerthana has excelled academically as a recipient of the AP Scholar Award, an Honor Roll student, a Beta Club member, and a member of the Math, Spanish and National Honor Societies. She is active outside of the classroom in the Godwin Writing Center, as a member of the Spanish Club, a volunteer for the Keyettes Club, a tutor in the Student Organization for Helping Others Club and a volunteer for the Twin Hickory Library. Keerthana is an accomplished athlete, having earned numerous awards and recognitions for her prowess on the tennis court. She has been recognized as #1 in singles and doubles her junior year, MVP, Team District Champion, Team Regional Champion, Team State Champion and Team State finalist. She been awarded as a District Doubles Champion, Regional Doubles Champion, Richmond All-Metro first team, All Academic District, All-Academic Regional, and All-Academic Conference. She is also a member of the Richmond Nomads junior team and the United States Tennis Association. Keerthana plans to major in Biomedical Engineering to combine her academic skills with her love of helping others.
