Lucky the rain from Hurricane Florence held off, and we had a great day for golf! Everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves on the course. Our morning round of golfers were competing for the opportunity to win a trip to Pebble Beach to play in their tournament, and the women were competing for the chance to win a trip to Boars Head Resort in Charlottesville.
The course at Independence had 4 opportunities for hole-in-one with the prize being a paid for 2 year lease on a new Lexus! During the afternoon round, we had two Belle Isle tents set up on the course for our participants. The evening wrapped up with some snacks and refreshments during the award ceremony.
Each week will feature one new high school senior student athlete. Every student featured will have been nominated by their respective school officials. The nominees are all qualified individuals who excel in the classroom, in athletics, in extra circulars, and are heavily involved in their community. At the end of the school year, the 30 nominees will be celebrated with a banquet where a winner will be announced, and he or she will receive a $10,000 scholarship!
On Tuesday, June 12, Lexus of Richmond held our event “A Night In Tokyo” at Independence Golf Club. A Night In Tokyo was a celebration of all things Lexus. The evening was inspired by the Lexus and Japanese craftsmanship, perfection, and amazing experiences.
Throughout the night, we had several vehicles on the lawn at Independence. There were several LS 500’s as well as a RX 350 and a ES 350. We were even lucky enough to have a structural blue LC 500. There were only 300 structural blue LCs put into production, so we were honored to have one at Lexus of Richmond and our event.

There were 20 different craft breweries featured with various beers to sample as well as multiple food trucks scattered throughout the space. The crowd had a wonderful time listening to the live music while tasting the beer. Overall it was a great day out enjoyed by all, and we enjoyed mingling in the crowd and having a excellent time with everyone.
Lexus provided the pace car for the event, a beautiful 2017 Lexus GX 460 pictured above! The event consisted of performances from River Dancers and musicians. The 5k race kicked off at 9AM and in just under 16 minutes the 1st racer crossed the finish line. Shortly after the kids 1K got started. The Chick-Fil-A cows even made an appearance in their Shamrock 5K gear. The day was filled with food, giveaways, running, and great Irish spirit by all in attendance!
With the help of Jay Endicott at Fox Richmond and 288 Sports Group, Lexus of Richmond has produced 5 commercials for our LUV’s. Each tv spot is aimed at a different audience; young adults, moms, dads, and families. The final commercial is a combination of the previous four spots. All of the ads feature our employees and/or customers.
On Friday, November 18, Lexus of Richmond was in full force at Westchester Commons for their Tree Lighting ceremony. The evening was full of fun and excitement for children and adults alike!
There was live music from the School of Rock, a hot chocolate bar, marshmallow roasting and many other activities for the kids. Of course the night would not be complete without an appearance from Santa himself!
Santa upgraded his sleigh this year. He was not brought in by his reindeer, but instead a red Lexus IS 250 convertible! Once Santa made his way through the crowd, he had the kids help light the tree with him. After a few “snow flurries” the kids lined up to meet Santa and take pictures.
It was truly a great night had by all! Lexus of Richmond is honored to have been a part of such a wonderful family night!
Throughout the morning there was a concert, a game truck were kids could game video games, a mini pumpkin patch, food vendors, and much more to keep the families entertained. Even with the rain, the smiles on the kids faces were proof enough that the day was a success!
