Lexus of Richmond Leadership Award Week 29 – Isobel Harrison


Lexus of Richmond’s week 29 nominee for the Leadership Award is Isobel Harrison of Midlothian High School. Ranked 2nd in her class with a 5.0 GPA, she scored a 33 out of a possible 36 on the ACT. She is a member of the National Honor Society, Spanish National Honor Society, Science National Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta, and Rho Kappa – Phi Alpha Theta.

As a four year varsity lacrosse player, Isobel has been a co-captain since her sophomore season and a two-time recipient of the coaches’ award. In 2016 she was named to the All State 2nd Team, All Region 1stTeam & the All Conference 1st Team, and in 2015 she was selected for the All Region 2nd Team & the All Conference 1st Team. In addition, she ran varsity cross country freshman – junior year. She was a part of the All Conference Team in 2015, and she competed in the State Finals in 2014 and 2015. As a part of the Student Council Association since 2015, Isobel has been involved in planning school events like Homecoming and Strike Out Cancer. She has also been a member of LEAD Up since 2013 and is the current Co-President. This group promotes leadership and volunteers for Christmas Mother and National Blood Drives.

Isobel has volunteered 100+ hours a year for the YMCA. She has also served on the Diversity and Inclusion Rally Committee. This group planned an event for over 300 teens to learn about diversity and accepting others around you. She has volunteered 2 hours a week since freshman year to help underprivileged children with their school work through Homework Helpers. With arts in the Alley, Isobel has assisted in painting murals in Richmond such as; The Hospital Hospitality House and a local coffee shop.

Isobel has won a dinner for two and is now in the running for the $10,000 scholarship.
