Pursuit of Perfection Leadership Award Nominee Week #11 – Eliza Bellamy from Maggie L. Walker Governor’s School!

Congratulations to Eliza Bellamy from Maggie L. Walker Governor’s School, our week 11 nominee for the Lexus of Richmond Pursuit of Perfection Leadership Award!


With a GPA of 4.43, Eliza is the recipient of a number of accolades for her academic achievements, having been inducted into the National Honor Society, the National Math Honor Society, the National French Honor Society, the Thomas Jefferson History National Honor Society, and having been recognized as an AP Scholar with Honors. She was also a medalist on the National French and Spanish Exams, is a member of the Model Congress, Key Club, RAMPS Club and is president of the Green Machine (Pep) Club. Eliza is an avid field hockey player, for which she’s earned recognition as 1st Team All-Conference, 1st Team All-Region, RTD 1st Team All-Metro, Conference 20 Player of the Year in 2013, and as captain of her varsity team in 2014. A well-rounded athlete, she is also a member of her school’s varsity soccer team which made it to the Region 2a State Finals Game in 2014, and was a JV Basketball team member. Eliza has dedicated her free time to helping out in the community through a variety of programs, including volunteering her time at Newtowne tutoring, Carver Elementary, and Lakewood Manor Nursing Home, as well as serving as a Maggie Walker Student Ambassador, and fundraising for various charitable organizations.

Eliza has won a dinner for two at Fleming’s Steakhouse and is now in the running for the $10,000 scholarship.
