Pursuit of Perfection Leadership Award Nominee Week #25 – Strib Walker from Collegiate School

Congratulations Strib Walker from Collegiate School, our week 25 nominee for the Lexus of Richmond Pursuit of Perfection Leadership Award!


With a 4.37 GPA, Strib is an honor roll student, an AP Scholar with Distinction, a fall inductee of the National Cum Laude Society, and recipient of the Harvard Book Award. He is the SCA treasurer, school panelist, school tour guide for prospective students, participant in Students Provide Assistance to Collegiate (SPAC), and a VoiceMale (school a cappella vocal group) member. A three-sport athlete, Strib has played on his school’s varsity basketball, football and lacrosse teams. He was a two-year letterman and team captain of his basketball team. He is a four-year letterman and team captain of his football team, for which he also received recognition as 1st Team All-State Defense, 2nd Team All-State Offense, 1st Team All Prep Offense and Defense, All Prep Offensive co-MVP, Honorable Mention All State and All Metro Team Defense, team MVP, and winner of the Team Excellence in Leadership Award. On his varsity lacrosse team he is a three-year letterman as a midfielder, team captain, 1st Team All Prep Midfielder, and winner of the Rob Kelly Spirit Award. On his travel lacrosse team he has played in numerous invitation-only showcases and elite tournaments, made All Star Team at King of the Hill Tournament in Westminster, MD, and made the All Star Team at the National High School Lacrosse Showcase Tournament in Columbia, MD. Additionally, in the summer of 2014 Inside Lacrosse magazine named Strib as “Player to Watch” based on his performance in the Jake Reed Nike Blue Chip Camp. Strib has given back to the community by participating in the Open Gym program, the Pancreatic Cancer Walk in Honor of Brad Tazewell, and Youth Service Opportunities Project. He is also the founder and operator of a summer youth camp, and a youth sports camp coach.

Strib plans to attend Princeton University where he will play lacrosse.

Strib has won a dinner for two at Fleming’s Steakhouse and is now in the running for the $10,000 scholarship.
