Pursuit of Perfection Leadership Award Nominee Week #28 – Alice Babashak from Midlothian High School.

Congratulations Alice Babashak from Midlothian High School, our week 28 nominee for the Lexus of Richmond Pursuit of Perfection Leadership Award!

With a 4.2 GPA, Alice has received numerous accolades for her academic accomplishments. She is a member of the National Honor Society, the National Art Honor Society and the German National Honor Society;  recipient of the Academic All-District Award and the AP Scholar Award, and has been named All-Academic, Region All-Academic, All-State academic, and Midlothian High School scholar athlete. She was class president her freshman, sophomore and junior years, is a member of the senior council committee, DECA, the spirit club, the German club, the principal leadership club, the pep rally committee, the prom committee, and the Future Leaders Forum for Young Women. Alice holds nine school records for her prowess in track/cross country. She has been named All-State 4a 55m hurdles, 4a 4x200m relay, All-State 4x800m relay, All-State cross country, 55m hurdles dominion district + conference champion,  4a conference 20 cross country champion, regional cross country champion, and outdoor regional triple jump champion. Alice is also an assistant coach for the Midlothian Middle School track team. She has served the community by giving haircuts to the homeless, participating in an RIR trash pick-up, volunteering for several charitable programs in the community such as the Bainbridge soup kitchen and the Sidekick program at Midlothian High, and she has also received the Girl Scout Bronze Award.

Alice plans to attend Indiana University on an athletic scholarship.

Alice has won a dinner for two at Fleming’s Steakhouse and is now in the running for the $10,000 scholarship.
