Pursuit of Perfection Leadership Award Nominee Week #29 – Carly Feyerabend from Atlee High School

Congratulations Carly Feyerabend from Atlee High School, our week 29 nominee for the Lexus of Richmond Pursuit of Perfection Leadership Award!

Carly has been an exemplary student with a GPA of 4.416. She is an IB Diploma candidate, Atlee High School Scholar Athlete, recipient of the 2013 Visual Achievement Award, and earned 3rd place in the Voice of Democracy Essay Contest. She has been active in school as a member of the National Honor Society, the National Beta Club, the National Latin Honor Society, the Key club, the Math team, the Mass Communications club, participant in the Capital One Leadership Forum, secretary and historian of the Latin club, and as a SODA team leader and SODA school leader. Carly has excelled on the track for which she has earned All-District and All-Region in indoor and outdoor hurdles and high jump, All-State in indoor and outdoor high jump, All-State in indoor track and field, All-District in long jump, indoor and outdoor high jump district champion, outdoor high jump state qualifier, indoor track and field state champion, and outdoor high jump relay champion, to name a few. She was also her tennis team captain, number one player and recipient of the coach’s award in tennis her freshman year. Carly has donated her time in the community by volunteering for the Hanover Youth Service Council, the Hanover Arc, and as leader of a “church tour” project in her English class through which she helped create a smart phone app and then acted as the speaker/presenter to the Richmond Tourism board to share their goals and ideas with the panel.

Carly plans to attend UVA where she will run track and field.

Carly has won a dinner for two at Fleming’s Steakhouse and is now in the running for the $10,000 scholarship.
