Pursuit of Perfection Leadership Award Nominee Week #8 – Joseph Boyle from Maggie L. Walker Governor’s School!

Congratulations to Joseph Boyle from Maggie L. Walker Governor’s School, our week 8 nominee for the Lexus of Richmond Pursuit of Perfection Leadership Award!

With a GPA of 4.39, Joseph is an accomplished scholar who got a perfect score of 800 in Math and Language on his SATs, and a 710 in Writing for a total score of 2310. He is an AP Scholar with Distinction with AP scores of 5 in Calculus, Statistics, US Government, English, and Language. He is a Magnum Cum Laude Certificate recipient for the National Latin Exam, and an inductee into several honor societies including the National Honor Society, the English, Spanish and Music National Honor Societies, and the Math National Honor Society, of which he is co-president. He has been busy outside of the classroom as well, having completed an internship at VCU in Biostatics, and as a piano and drum player, both of which he has played since early childhood, and for which he has received Jazz Band Musicianship Awards. Joseph is an accomplished 3-sport athlete in Indoor and Outdoor Track and Cross Country, for which he has received recognition and several awards for indoor and outdoor track, including All-State 2A Outdoor Track – 1600 and 3200, and All-State 1A/2A Indoor Track – 3200.

Joseph has won a dinner for two at Fleming’s Steakhouse and is now in the running for the $10,000 scholarship.
