New Owners Welcome Breakfast

On Saturday, October 22nd, Lexus of Richmond put on a breakfast for our recent new owners. The guests had all purchased a new Lexus over the last few months. We had a quick welcome presentation where we thanked the guests and had a technology demo. Afterwards, the technology specialists and service team headed outside to the individual guests’ vehicles to answer any questions one-on-one.

Maintaining Your Lexus NAVIGATION System

 TECH TIPS from the TECH GURU

You’ve heard the cliche “If it’s not broke, don’t fix it!”  That makes plenty of sense doesn’t it, but let’s consider something.  Why would you allow it to break or lose functionality?

Maintaining your NAVIGATION/BLUETOOTH system is as important as keeping up with your vehicle’s maintenance.  Think of your NAVIGATION/BLUETOOTH system as your wisdom teeth.  They always seem to let you down at the most inopportune time (i.e. while on vacation, or while traveling in an unfamiliar city).

It is best practice to come into the dealership to have the following performed periodically:

  • Remove old cellular devices from your vehicle’s BLUETOOTH system that you’re not using.
  • Clear out stored PREVIOUS DESTINATIONS that you will never revisit to make room for others.
  • Remove your phonebook contacts from your vehicle and reinstall to ensure your contacts and phone numbers are up to date.
  • Reset your speed dials to ensure you have your favorite contacts are set.
  • Reboot your NAVIGATION/BLUETOOTH system and your cellular phone to maximize connectivity and longevity.
  • Update your NAVIGATION maps with the newest version to ensure addresses you need can be located (fees apply).  Locate new developments, restaurants, streets and malls for cities and states that you travel in, are a few of the benefits the upgrade provides.

Sales Consultant of the Month – Robert Norton

Sales ConsultantIt is with pleasure that I introduce to you Lexus of Richmond’s SALES CONSULTANT of the MONTH for both March and April of 2012, the one and only Robert Norton!   I sat down with Robert on yesterday for an exclusive interview and here’s what he shared.
   
Robert how long have you been in the automotive industry?
“I have been in the automobile business since October, 1982.” 
 
 How long have you been with Lexus of Richmond?
“I have been with Lexus of Richmond for 6-years and 3-months”.
 
Robert, you have earned SALES CONSULTANT of the MONTH for 2-consecutive months.  What do you attribute your success to?
“There are several things I attribute my success to.  I keep in touch with my previous clients.  I have a good relationship with so many, that they remember me for their next car purchase.  Because I have such good relationships established, they refer others to me.  I sincerely try to serve the peopole I work with, educating and informing them without a lot of hoopla.  People know when you’re truly interested in helping them in any business.  I set goals every month for myself in writing.  I believe something happens when you reduce a goal to writing and then you are willing to put forth the effort to make it happen.”
 
Robert, what is in your opinion, the best selling Lexus model?  And why?
“In my opinion the LexusRX350 is the best selling Lexus model.  It has such a proven track record.  The styling, comfort, smooth ride, dependability, technology, and the resale value is absolutely the best in today’s market.
